About Saturday Smack
Saturday Smack brings shakers, houndstooth, and a little extra noise to the traditions football fans live for.
I’m Chris Starnes, founder of Saturday Smack. My journey with houndstooth began while I was a student at the University of Alabama. I saw how much fans loved the tradition and wanted to create more ways to bring it into game day.
That idea became a small business selling houndstooth products—and grew into Game Day Collection. We brought those products to big box and specialty retailers across the country, while also selling directly to Alabama fans online.
Alabama fans don’t just follow traditions. They live them.
In 2025, I had the opportunity to step back into the world of houndstooth. Saturday Smack is that next chapter: a chance to celebrate the traditions we love and add more fun to the game day experience.
Our goal is simple: make game day more fun. For the early tailgaters, the families cheering together, and the fans who wear their colors wherever they go.
